Spearman Lynxettes win 1 track State title, deliver strong performances

The Spearman Lynxettes track and field team brought home a State title on the legs of junior Alana Holloway.

Holloway won the crown in the 300-meter hurdles with a 44.17 finish, just short of her school record of 44.04. She also won a silver medal in the 100-meter hurdles.

Maren Garnett and KD McCloy also had strong showings in the pole vault event. Garen won a silver medal, vaulting 11-foot-6-inches and McCloy finished fourth in the event with a vault of 11-foot even.

The mile relay team, consisting of Holloway, Mia Pipkin, Maddie McCloy and Jaden Blan finished eighth.

Overall, the Lynxettes finished the meet with 29 points, falling short of third place as a team by seven points.
