Every year around the holiday season, a few players from the Amarillo Bulls go out and visit local children's hospitals to spread some holiday cheer.

Six players decked out their new uniforms and along with Bulls Coaches and Front Office staff, visit the children's unit and rehabilitation floor at BSA Hospital in addition to visiting the Children's Hospital at Northwest Texas Healthcare System.

The team sang Christmas carols and gave treats out to the kids and tickets to upcoming games for the staff.

Director of Broadcasting and Communications for the Bulls, Denis J. Puska, would like "to thank both hospitals for inviting us over during this special time of year. We hope we were able to brighten up everyone's day and give them something to think about and remember during the holiday season."

Another upcoming event for the team, is their annual Christmas party on Wednesday. The party is being held at in the Grand Plaza at the Amarillo Civic Center, where dinner will be provided by Aspen Creek Grill and plenty of prizes, games, speeches, and Christmas carols by the players.

The Bulls will return to the ice this Saturday and Sunday when they play against the Shreveport Mudbugs at George's Pond Hirsch Coliseum. Fans can listen in to the game live on CBS Sports Radio 1440, online at or on pay-per-view with Hockey TV, starting with the Warm Up Show 20 minutes before the game starts.

Home games will resume at the Bull Pen in the Civic Center Saturday, Dec. 30 and Sunday, Dec. 31 when the Bulls host the Odessa Jackalopes at 7 pm.
