A Seagoville police officer and some neighbors are being hailed as heroes, after they rescued a family of 7 from a burning home.

Officer Sam Click was patrolling early Saturday morning when he noticed the front door of a home engulfed in flames.

After calling for backup, he found a back door to get inside. The officer and a few neighbors banded together to rescue 5 sleeping children. They ranged in age from 6 months to 10 years old.

No one was hurt, and firefighters were able to put out the flames.

Seagoville is just southeast of Dallas.
