Local business picks up tab on man's overdue movie rental
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
The man who had over a $200 fine and a warrant for his arrest for an overdue movie rental got some help Tuesday from a local business.
Jeff of All Trades, a local handyman company, went to the movie rental store and paid everything Lonnie Perry owed on the unreturned DVD.
Perry rented "Ted" in 2014, and shortly after, became homeless. When he packed up his things, the rented DVD was included. Perry had forgotten that he never returned it until he got a phone call from the Rogers County District Attorney's Office recently, then a letter in the mail.
