VIDEO: Police search for suspect following armed robbery at Southwest Amarillo bank

Amarillo Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the identity and arrest of a man who robbed a Wells Fargo bank Monday night. (Screenshot courtesy of Amarillo Crime Stoppers video)

Amarillo Crime Stoppers has released surveillance video from a Monday night bank robbery.

Amarillo police officers were sent to the Wells Fargo at 3929 Bell Street just before 6 p.m. on the robbery.

Police said the suspect was wearing a white hard hat, black glasses and a yellow safety vest when he walked into the bank, fired a gunshot into the ceiling and demanded money.

He was able to leave with an undisclosed amount of cash.
