Update on State line Fire in Oklahoma, New Mexico and Colorado

Although the Stateline Fire has been contained in New Mexico and Oklahoma, crews from New Mexico still were being pressed into service to help fight the fire on the north faces of the mesas in Colorado, Union County, N.M., emergency management said Tuesday.

So far, the Stateline Fire has burned 27,658 acres in New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Colorado, with 16,898 of those acres in Colorado, according to the Colorado Department of Public Safety's Division of Fire Prevention and Control website here.

In Colorado, the fire is considered 50 percent contained. There have been no injuries or fatalities reported, according to Colorado DPS.

Among the Colorado resources deployed are four DFPC fire management officers; DFPC Engines 3161, 3122, 3111; a DFPC deputy section chief and the multi-mission aircraft.
