The Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday at SH-136 in Hutchinson County, resulting in the death of one woman.

At around 6:15 p.m., Edward Castellano, 44, of Levelland was driving a 2012 Ford F-250 north on SH-136, approximately two miles south of Stinnett.

Inez Nolen, 72, of Borger, was driving a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer and was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Sara Drive and SH-136.

Nolen failed to yield right of way and pulled out onto SH-136 into the path of Castellano. When the vehicles collided, Nolen was ejected from her SUV.

When officials arrived on the scene, Nolen was transported to the hospital in Borger, where she later died.

Castellano was treated and released on scene. He was wearing his seat belt, however Nolen was not.

The road conditions were dry and no other vehicles were involved.

This crash remains under investigation.
