At 4:39 p.m., a trooper stopped a 1999 Dodge Durango near Conway, on a traffic violation. The trooper then discovered vacuum-sealed packages of marijuana in the rear cargo area. The drugs are valued at $546,000.

Virginia Pulido-Griego, 46, and Juan Lombera-Bustamante, 35, both of Clearlake, Calif., were arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana. Pulido-Griego and Lombera-Bustamante were transported and booked into the Carson County jail.

The drugs allegedly were being transported from California to Kansas.
