CLOVIS, N.M. (KVII) — Touchstone Golf announced Tuesday that the City of Clovis has approved a management agreement for Touchstone to manage Colonial Park Golf Course. Touchstone will take over management on May 1 with the transition process already underway.
Colonial Park will become Touchstone's 43rd property under management across the company's 12 state platform.
Colonial Park opened in 1964 and was designed by William Cantrell. The City of Clovis assumed ownership of the facility in 2011. The par 72 facility plays to a maximum length of 6,856 yards and includes a spacious clubhouse facility perfect for golf tournament and non-golf banquet activities.
“Touchstone is honored to be taking on the Colonial Park management role,” said Steve Harker, CEO of Touchstone. “We intend to work towards improved conditions, enhanced programming and events, and delivering the level of service that Touchstone has built its reputation on.”
Touchstone representatives will be on site March 12 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. when they will host a community presentation and meeting for interested golfers and non-golfers alike. Light refreshments will be served.
