The Texas Department of Public Safety seizes $285,000 worth of Meth

The Texas Department of Public Saftey (DPS) seized over three pounds of methamphetamine after a Texas Highway Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle in Carson County.

On October 10 at 10 p.m., a Patrol trooper stopped a 2014 Chrysler 300 for a traffic violation.

The Highway Patrol Trooper then discovered methamphetamine contained in foil-wrapped bundles in a pillowcase inside the vehicle.

The driver 26-year-old Martha Zepeda was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

The methamphetamine was allegedly being transported from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Clarksville, Arkansas and is worth approximately $285,000.
