SUNRAY, Texas (KVII) — Sunray City Manager Rob Roach turned in his resignation on July 31.
According to the City of Sunray, at a specially called City Council Meeting, the City Council voted unanimously to accept Roach's resignation effective immediately.
The City says it will now began searching diligently to hire a new City Manager.
The City of Sunray added that it does not intend to comment further on this personnel issue.
Roach turned himself in back on Sept. 11, 2017 on first-degree felony charges of theft of property by a public servant over $1,000 but under $200,000 after being indicted in Carson County and a warrant issued for his arrest. Roach was the former Police Chief and City Manager in Panhandle.
