AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A rare sight was captured northwest of Amarillo on Thursday night.
Photographer Wesley Luginbyhl captured the images northwest of Amarillo.
He said he had perfect conditions to capture the auroras with no clouds and no moon.
The northern lights covered the horizon in about one minute's time.
Luginbyhl said it's been more than 30 years since he's seen the aurora borealis in Texas.
