Man fires gun at Wells Fargo during Monday night robbery

Amarillo police are searching for a suspect after the Wells Fargo bank at 3929 Bell Street was robbed at gunpoint Monday night.

According to police, officers were sent to the bank just before 6 p.m.

Police said a white male wearing a white hard hat, black glasses and a yellow safety vest walked into the bank. He fired a gunshot into the ceiling and demanded money.

APD said the man left with an undisclosed amount of money.

No one was injured during the incident and police are asking anyone with information to call APD or Amarillo Crime Stoppers at (806)-374-4400.
