Scam Alert: Social media post warning about 2 homeless men attacking people not real

PARMER COUNTY, Texas (KVII) — The Parmer County Sheriff’s Office issued a warning about a post circulating on social media.

"It is a scam," the sheriff's office said.

According to the post, two men are going around claiming to be homeless and asking for help.

When someone stops to help, the men allegedly attack them.

"They attacked a 33-year-old single mom with a knife two days ago leaving her struggling for life," the post said.
