MEMPHIS, Texas (KVII) — A rabid skunk was located by a resident in Memphis on Tuesday morning.
According to the Texas Department of State Health Services, a home owner observed a skunk in the alley behind his house at about 6:30 a.m. The skunk was stumbling and falling over.
The resident contacted a local animal control officer, who arrived and caught the skunk.
The skunk was euthanized and submitting to the lab where it tested positive for rabies.
