A woman was indicted in Potter County on a charge of Abandoning/Endangering a Child, Criminal Negligence, after a child tested positive for methamphetamine.

Court documents show 37-year-old Misty Sandoval was indicted on Nov. 8, 2017, following the March 2017 incident.

According to court documents, Sandoval knowingly engaged in conduct that placed a child younger than fifteen years of age in imminent danger of death, bodily injury or physical or mental impairment by possessing methamphetamine.

An analysis of the child's hair indicated the presence of meth, the indictment states, and Sandoval did not voluntarily deliver the child to a designated emergency infant care provider.
