More indictments for Billy Ivy Jr. and his wife
Amarillo, Texas —
It's been a busy week for a local man involved in a murder for hire plot. A federal prison sentence is not stopping more indictments from being filed against him.
Potter County indicted Billy Ivy Jr. on a tampering with a witness charge. Court documents said Ivy offered his former ranch hand money to withhold information from authorities.
Ivy was sentenced earlier this week to almost three and half years prison on a federal weapons charge.
He still has several other pending state charges in Randall and Potter County, including murder for hire and arson.
Ivy's wife, Joanie, also was indicted for tampering with the same witness as her husband. This comes after she asked the court to dismiss the charge earlier this week.
