Man arrested after causing a SWAT situation Tuesday evening

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — On Tuesday evening, 29 -year-old Joseph Martin Gonzales was arrested after causing a SWAT situation.

According to APD, Gonzales had a warrant for his arrest for an unlawful possession of a firearm, when officers tried to arrest him he ran to the nearby Fifth Season Inn.

Officers were able to get Gonzales out of the hotel and arrest him.

Gonzales was taken to Potter County Jail and charged with evading arrest with a previous conviction.
