AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A 44-year-old man was arrested after police say he fired shots at several houses in North Amarillo Friday night.
According to the Amarillo Police Department, officers were sent tot he 1400- block of Northwest 16th Avenue just before 10 p.m. Friday night on a man shooting a gun in the street.
Police say the suspect was described as a black male wearing a red shirt and riding a bicycle. He was later identified as Lonnie Charles Brydie. Officers found him in the 1300- block of Northwest 16th Avenue and when they contacted him, Brydie dropped a handgun on the ground.
APD said Brydie was found to have a local municipal warrant for public intoxication. He was also found to be a convicted felon.
Upon investigation, officers found at least three houses on the street that had been hit with gunfire. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
Brydie was arrested and booked into the Potter County Jail. He was charged with three counts of Deadly Conduct - Discharging a Firearm, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Public Intoxication, Pedestrian in the Roadway and his municipal warrant.
