Man, 27, dies after being hit by train behind Santa Fe Depot

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A man is dead after being hit by a train behind the Santa Fe Depot early Saturday morning.

The accident happened about 1:45 a.m. at SE 3rd Avenue and Grant Street.

A southbound train hit a man walking south near the tracks.

The man, who was identified as Colton Samuel Bagwell, 27, died on the scene.

The Amarillo Police Department's Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating the accident.
