Both northbound lanes on US 287 in Hall County have reopened after a sink closed one lane earlier Saturday.

The hole is estimated at 20 to 25 feet deep and 10 to 12 feet wide.

According to the Hall County Sheriff's Office, a 911 call was received around 4 o'clock Saturday about the sinkhole.

Chief Deputy Chris Tiedemann said it was located just north of the Red River Bridge, which is around mile marker 214.

Northbound traffic was reduced to one lane on 287. The Sheriff's Office, Memphis Police Department, Memphis Fire Department, Texas Department of Public Safety and Texas Department of Transportation responded to the scene.
