Happy State Bank to donate $2.5M to Texas Tech School of Veterinary Medicine

Texas Tech President Lawrence Schovanec and Texas Tech Health Sciences Center President Dr. Tedd L. Mitchell honored Happy State Bank as a trailblazing donor that has committed support for the School of Veterinary Medicine.

The event took place on the TTUHSC campus' front lawn with Chairman and CEO Pat Hickman and President and COO Mikel Williamson representing Happy State Bank.

During the event, it was announced the Happy State has committed $2.5 million in support of the Texas Tech School of Veterinary Medicine.

The gifts will support the construction and development of the future school of veterinary medicine in Amarillo and help to revolutionize veterinary services throughout Texas' agricultural communities.

The new Veterinary School of Medicine is designed to fulfill the growing need in these communities by shaping the future of veterinary education and enriching the state's agricultural heritage.
