Crews responding to three wildfires off of Highway 287

UPDATE: As of 10:20 pm, the fire has burned 2,300 acres and is now 60% contained.

UPDATE: As of 7:03 pm, the fire is 30% contained.

UPDATE: At 6:18 pm, the fire is now up to 1,600 acres and has not been contained at this time.

UPDATE: As of 6:00pm, the Texas A&M Forest Service says the fire off 287 has burned 400 acres and has not be contained at this time.

Crews are on the scene of three wildfires located off of US Highway 287, about 1 mile west of the Canadian River bridge.

Reports also say that one of the fires has broken out around Wonderland Amusement Park.

According to Potter County Sheriff's Office, both northbound lanes are shut down as crews work to put out these fires. In addition, one southbound lane is also closed.

Officials have no estimated time as to when the highway will reopen.
