Fritch student with cancer passes away
FRITCH, Texas (KVII) —
Fritch student Aaron Hughes has passed away as of 5:37 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Facebook page Hope for Aaron.
Hughes has been battling osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer, at Children's Health Hospital in Dallas. He was diagnosed at the end of March and had his right leg amputated.
A GoFundMe page has been started to help the family cover funeral and travel expenses. So far, about $3,320 has been raised for the family.
