Voters have two more days to cast their ballots early in the Democratic and Republican parties runoff elections.

Election day is May 22. Early voting continues today and ends Friday.

At stake in Potter County's Democratic runoff is a spot on the ballot in November's race for governor. Two candidates -- Andrew White and Lupe Valdez -- are vying for a spot in the governor's race on the Nov. 6 ballot.

White is an entrepreneur and son of former Texas Gov. Mark White, according to his campaign.

"I’m a common sense Democrat," White said on his campaign website. "I'm running for governor to bring sanity and reason back to state government, so Texans can have hope again."

Valdez is an Army veteran and former sheriff of Dallas County, according to her campaign.

“Like so many Texans, I have lived the kind of life where your day starts before the sun rises," Valdez said on her campaign website. "From migrant farmworker to U.S. Army Captain, federal agent to the very proud Sheriff of the good people of Dallas County, I’ve dedicated my life to defending Texans and I’m not done yet.”
