Crews responding to WW Fiberglass fire in Pampa

UPDATE: The fire at WW Fiberglass is under control, according to Dustin Miller, Community Services Director for the City of Pampa.

A total of 17 units from Pampa, Hoover Volunteer, Borger and Amarillo responded to the scene.

Miller said there were no injuries and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

UPDATE: According to the Amarillo Fire Department, they are sending four units to Pampa to assist with the fire as requested by the Pampa fire chief.

According to Amarillo Area Fire Wire, Price Road in Pampa is currently shut down.

ORIGINAL: Crews are currently on the scene of a fire at WW Fiberglass Tank Co. in Pampa.

According to Jona Little, who's family owns the company, the fire started around 2 p.m.

Little said there are no reports of injuries, but the entire production facility is gone.

“We are just glad everyone is okay," Little said. "Things can be replaced, but people can’t."

Little tells ABC 7 News as the flames took over, there were some minor chemical explosions, but no major explosion triggering events.

Fire units from Pampa and Hoover are currently on the scene. At this time, Little said there is no indication as to what sparked the fire.

ABC 7 News has a crew on the way to the scene and we will provide more information as soon as it becomes available.
