CLOVIS, New Mexico (KVII) — On Sunday around 3 p.m., Clovis Police Department officers and fire officials were called to the 200 block of Calhoun Street for a structure fire.
Clovis Police officials say before arriving to the scene, firefighters noticed a small, out building, not attached to the home but in the back yard, completely in flames.
Officials say firefighters were told people were still inside of the house and battled flames to get inside. They say once inside, they then found the three people dead.
Clovis Police say there was one person that was able to get out, and is being treated a Plains Regional Medical Center.
According to Clovis Police an investigation is underway by detectives of their department and Clovis Fire Department investigators.
