AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Former Texas Rangers and now Houston Astros catcher Robinson Chirinos was announced as the feature speaker at the 4th annual Heart of Buckner Amarillo fundraising event.
The event will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at the Amarillo Botanical Gardens, featuring a moderated conversation with Chirinos, who was signed with the Astros after spending several years with the Rangers. The event will be moderated by former Amarillo Globe-News sports editor and columnist Jon Mark Beilue.
Sponsorships for the event are now open. Available sponsor packages are Gold Sponsorship, which includes two premium tables for up to 16 guests, 16 passes to the VIP photo opportunity with Chirinos, recognition in the printed program and by the emcee, and company logo in the slideshow and post-event media ad; Silver Sponsorship, which includes one table for up to eight guests, eight VIP photo passes, printed program recognition, and logo placement in the slideshow and ad; Bronze Sponsorship, which includes one table for up to eight guests and recognition in the printed program.

All proceeds from the event will stay in the Amarillo community to benefit the children and families served in this area. Buckner offers a wide variety of services to children, families and single mothers with a goal of building the necessary skills and knowledge they need to succeed in life.
Buckner Amarillo's programs include Buckner Family Pathways, Buckner Foster Care and Adoption and the FYi Center.

Hors d’oeuvres and dessert will be provided at the event, which will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Individual tickets to the event will go on sale later this month.
