AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Amarillo police have now released a suspected cause of death for a man found dead at the Comanche Trail Golf Course.

Around 7:03 a.m. on Monday morning, police said they were called to the Comanche Trail Golf Course on a reported body found.

53-year-old William Patton was reportedly found dead there by a grounds worker.

Wednesday morning, police issued a statement saying Patton's death was believed to be an accidental drowning.
