82-year-old man killed after being hit by vehicle in Clovis
CLOVIS, N.M. (KVII) —
An 82-year-old man has passed away after being hit by a vehicle in Clovis on Monday evening.
According to the Clovis Police Department, at about 5:45 p.m., officers were sent to the 1000 block of North Thornton Street for a motor vehicle that had struck a pedestrian.
Upon arrival, officers found Angel Solis-Loya, 82, on the roadway, midway between 10th and 11th Street and Thornton. He was taken to the Plains Regional Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.
The Clovis PD's Major Crash Team was activated and is investigating this incident. The driver of the vehicle was not injured and is cooperating with police.
