AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Three people suffered life-threatening injuries after collision between a minivan and SUV on North Western Street and Hastings on Wednesday.
According to the Amarillo Police Department, at about 1:10 p.m., officers were sent to a motor vehicle collision on N. Western and Hastings. A 2013 Toyota minivan, driven by a 74-year-old female was westbound on Hastings and turning south onto Western and a 2016 Land Rover, driven by a 17-year-old male, was northbound on Western when the two vehicles collided.
Both drivers and a juvenile passenger in the Land Rover were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Speed was determined to be a factor in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation by the APD Traffic Investigation Squad.
