Two people suffered serious injuries after a motorcycle crash on Canyon Drive at the I-40 connector ramp on Sunday night.

According to APD, at about 10:05 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Canyon Drive for a motorcycle crash. A 2007 Harley Davidson was southbound on Canyon Drive taking the westbound Interstate 40 connector ramp, when the driver, a 55-year-old male from Borger, failed to maintain a single lane and struck a traffic control orange barrel causing him to lose control and strike a metal rail guard.

The driver was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. A 44-year-old female passenger was also transported to a local hospital with possible life-threatening injuries. Neither person was wearing a helmet.

Speed and alcohol were determined to be factors in this crash.
