2 highways in Union County reopened after high winds, visibility concerns

Highways 64 and 87 in Union County, N.M. have reopened, according to the Union County Sheriff's Office. Drivers are still advised to use caution while traveling.

Two highways in Clayton, N.M. have been closed due to high winds and zero to low visibility caused by winter weather on Tuesday.

According to the Union County Sheriff's Office, U.S. 87 has been closed in both directions from mile marker 0 to mile marker 9 and both directions of U.S. 64 have been closed from mile marker 273 to mile marker 430.

Motorists are advised not to seek out alternate side roads.
