CARSON COUNTY, Texas (KVII) — A Texas Highway Patrol Trooper seized $1.34 million worth of heroin in Carson County on Jan. 14.
Officials said around 2:30 p.m., a 2005 Nissan Altima traveling east of I-40 near Conway was stopped by a DPS trooper for a traffic violation.
The Trooper discovered four Vacuum-sealed packages of heroin inside the passenger side panel.
Authorities said 22-year-old Jorge Ramirez of Modesto, California and 30-year-old Erasmo Ramirez-Romero of Fort Worth, Texas were arrested and charged with felony possession of controlled substance.
Officials said the drugs allegedly were being transported from Modesto, California, to Greenville, South Carolina.
