If you want to pay your water bill but don't want to stand inside of city hall, Amarillo officials have a new solution.

Monday, the city said its new Utility Billing Mobile Unit opened next to City Hall.

Those interested can start or stop utilities, set up payments or pay their water bill in full at the unit.

Amarillo Utility Billing Manager Jennifer Gonzalez said the center provides customers with more options - which she said is a good thing.

“In order to make the process simple, easy and quick – there are several ways for residents to pay their water bills, from [in-person], to online to automatic withdrawal," she said in a statement. "The more choices, the better it is for residents.”

The unit is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
