1 suspect arrested, 1 at-large after early Friday shooting in Amarillo

A man is in the Potter County Jail after police said he shot at another person early Friday morning near the corner of 9th and Buchanan in Amarillo. 

Police said around 1 in the morning, a black man got out of a red Kia Soul with a gun and walked up to a maroon Pontiac Grand Prix.

A white man then got out of the Grand Prix and started shooting at the other man. 

The two men left before police got to the scene. 

Officers found a red Kia Soul matching a description of the black man's vehicle. 

They said 19-year-old Malcolm Harris was inside. 

He was arrested after a gun and several Xanax pills were found, according to police.

He has been charged with deadly conduct, burglary, manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
