Thanks for taking the time to check out my bio. I'm a Canyon girl bursting with Panhandle Spirit. I graduated from Canyon High School, received my broadcasting degree from West Texas A&M University and started working part-time at the Pyramid of Power while still a student.
As a student, I made my first appearance on KVII in 1999 serving as a spokesperson for "The WB at WT" - a series of commercial spoofs promoting the University. That taste of television had me hooked and after I graduated, I joined ABC 7 Amarillo fulltime.
Since then, I've worked from one end of the station to the other--producing, reporting, anchoring, and even working behind the scenes as Creative Director. You may remember my feature segments "Neighbors" where every week I threw a dart at a map of Amarillo and within that vicinity found an interesting person to feature. There was also "One Tank Trips" where on a tank of gas I hit the road featuring fun travel destinations across our area.
Along with anchoring, I now serve as Assistant News Director to the newsroom.
My husband and I welcomed a precious baby boy into our lives in 2011 and then our daughter made our family complete in 2013.
I love telling stories about the Panhandle Spirit. If you know of someone whose story should be told, e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org
