A Borger native, Leeann loves the Panhandle of Texas! She's been here for most of her life, and she and her husband chose to raise their three boys here.

After graduating from Borger High School, Leeann received her bachelors of journalism from the University of Texas at Austin. Later, she earned her master's degree from West Texas A&M University.

Leeann worked in the news business for several years before pursuing a teaching career at Amarillo High School.

After the birth of her first son, Leeann decided not to work full time, and left Amarillo High to work as Communications Director at Ascension Academy. She was there (first part-time, and then full-time) for a little more than seven years.

In October of 2014, Leeann decided she couldn't stay away from the news business any longer. She joined the ABC 7 Amarillo team at Daybreak Anchor.

During her free time, Leeann spends time with her family - her husband and their three boys. Life with three young sons is crazy enough, but when she does get a moment to herself, Leeann likes casual running and reading.

Leeann currently serves as secretary of her neighborhood association; she serves as homeroom mom for her children's classes; and serves as an ambassador at her church. Previously, she was a member of the board of directors of Martha's Home, a charitable organization that helps women in need.
