A Borger native, I LOVE the Panhandle of Texas! I've been here for most of my life, and my husband and I chose to raise our three boys here.
After graduating from Borger High School, I received my Bachelors of Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin. Later, I earned my Master's degree from West Texas A&M University.
I worked in the news business for several years before pursuing a teaching career at Amarillo High School.
After the birth of my first son, I decided not to work full time, and left Amarillo High to work as Communications Director at Ascension Academy. I was there (first part-time, and then full-time) for a little more than seven years.
In October of 2014,I decided I just couldn't stay away from the news business any longer. I joined the ABC 7 Amarillo team as Daybreak Anchor.
During my free time, I hang out with my family. Life with three young sons is crazy enough, but when I do get a moment to myself, I like casual running and reading.
Right now I serve as secretary of my neighborhood association, as homeroom mom for my children's classes and as an ambassador at my church. I was previously a member of the Board of Directors of Martha's Home, a charitable organization that helps women in need.
