      Volleybuffs face big home challenge

      The #5 Lady Buffs return to the WTAMU Fieldhouse this week for three Lone Star Conference matches on tap. Midwestern State comes to town on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. before a tough weekend against Tarleton State on Friday night at 7 p.m. and #11 Angelo State on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.

The Lady Buffs moved their win streak to 12 matches this past weekend as they hit the road for Lone Star Conference action with a sweep of Texas A&M-Commerce on Friday night before dropping the first set but rebounding for a four set victory in Denton, Texas against Texas Woman??s

      MIDWESTERN STATE MUSTANGS ?? Midwestern State is 3-9 overall this season with a 1-3 mark in the Lone Star Conference, the Mustangs fell in four sets to Incarnate Word on Friday before dropping Texas A&M-Kingsville in a five set thriller on Saturday in Wichita Falls. The Mustangs are coached by Venera-Flores Stafford who is in her ninth season at MSU, boasting a overall record of 146-115 entering the 2012 season. The Lady Buffs lead the all-time series against the Mustangs, 24-0.

      TARLETON STATE TEXANNS ?? Tarleton State is 8-4 overall this season with a 3-1 mark in the Lone Star Conference. The TexAnns fell in three sets to Angelo State on Friday before rebounding with a sweep of Abilene Christian on Saturday afternoon. The TexAnns are coached by Mary Schindler who is in her eighth season at TSU, boasting a overall record of 118-103 entering the 2012 season. The Lady Buffs lead the all-time series against the TexAnns, 36-1. Tarleton will host Incarnate Word on Tuesday night.

      ANGELO STATE RAMBELLES ?? The #11 Rambelles are 11-2 overall this season with a 4-0 mark in the Lone Star Conference. the Belles moved their win streak to six this past weekend with sweeps of McMurry and Abilene Christian. Angelo State is coached by Chuck Waddington who is in his fifth season at ASU, boasting a overall record of 99-48 entering the 2012 season. The Lady Buffs lead the all-time series against the Rambelles, 45-13. Angelo will host Texas A&M-Kingsville on Tuesday before traveling to Eastern New Mexico on Friday night.
