The Dallas Cowboys received some devastating news Monday afternoon when they found out QB Tony Romo will miss the remainder of the season. Romo said his back was acting up before Sunday's win at Washington, and during the game he took a hit that made it worse.
This injury is completely different than the previous surgery in April to remove a cyst from his back. Kyle Orton will now start for the Cowboys in a win or go home game Sunday night at AT&T Stadium against Philadelphia. Orton hasn't started a game since the 2011 regular season final with Kansas City, he has started 69 games in his career with a 35-34 record.
Dallas also received more devasting news regarding LB Sean Lee. He will not return for the rest of the season either.
