Player of the Week 3 - Seth Dixon leads Hereford to run over Pampa
Finding the holes, and making the plays - Seth Dixon led Hereford to run over Pampa on Friday night. The Whiteface's junior running back posted 325 combined rushing and receiving yards in the 52-13 win.
"That was really all my o-line," said Dixon. "They blocked really well for me and I couldn't do it without them."
Hereford head football coach Don DeLozier had nothing but positives to take away from the game on Friday night. The win puts the Whitefaces at 3-0.
"He had a great performance, got six touchdowns in a ball game, you don't hear about that very often, did a great job running the football, has great vision, has great balance, and did a tremendous job in the receiving part of the game too, so he just had a great night all around," said DeLozier.
And every Friday night, Dixon is just taking it all in.
"Its nerve wracking, it's exciting, it's just something that you don't feel every day," said Dixon. " It's emotional and it's really fun."
DoLozier says consistency is key - and success has become an expectation for Dixon.
"Seth Dixon is someone that every coach would love to coach, he's an unselfish kid, he works extremely hard, he has a belief in our team, just someone who is going to lead by example and vocally too," said DeLozier.
Dixon hopes to continue to improve, and lead the Whitefaces all the way to the playoffs.
