Canady Broadcast Center: for the man who helped create Pronews 7

Every wire, every connection, everything that makes this building work was because of Bill Canady's expertise and love of broadcasting.

All week long, you may have noticed the Pronews 7 team signing off their reports in each newscast from "Canady Broadcast Center." It is our way to honor Bill Canady, the man who helped create KVII-TV.

Canady worked for this station almost as long as there has been Pronews 7. Every wire, every connection, everything that makes this building work was because of his expertise and love of broadcasting. He is obviously an intelligent man, but his legacy is the physical means by which we are able to broadcast to you.

Bill retired from his role as Chief Engineer in 2012 and to honor him then, we named the building "Canady Broadcast Center." And during that presentation, KVII-TV General Manager Thom Pritz said Canady was "the glue that holds this building together."

In the Panhandle Spirit, we will continue to honor the man that build Pronews 7 in every newscast.
