Remembering a Texas Panhandle veterans advocate
AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) —
The Texas Panhandle community remembered Vietnam Veteran and US Marine Terry Kirby, Monday.
A memorial service honored Kirby at the Texas Panhandle War Memorial Monday afternoon.
Kirby was one of the Veterans instrumental getting the memorial created.
The Marine was the president of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 297 and an advocate for those who have been affected by agent orange exposure.
Kirby will be remembered as a loyal friend to many and a counselor for Veterans struggling with P.T.S.D. He was also a proud member of the Choctaw Nation.
Kirby died Thursday, Feb. 2. He was 69 years old.
