A man was arrested Monday afternoon after allegedly traveling from Texas to DC to try to kill "'all white police at the White House'", according to Secret Service officials.

A "be on the lookout" notice was reportedly sent out by Montgomery County police to Secret Service officials at just before 3 p.m. Monday for a man named Michael Arega. Officials say Arega was traveling to the White House "for the purpose of killing 'all white police'."

Secret Service officers say they started searching for Arega, who was then seen at just after 4 p.m. near Lafayette Park in front of the White House. Officials say they arrested Arega, who is from Dallas, immediately.

Officials say Arega has been charged with making felony threats. He was reportedly unarmed at the time of his arrest.
