UPDATE 6:28 AM: Xcel reports that power to all Fritch customers was restored by 3:48 AM. Also, the 800 customers in Borger that had their power restored are once again without power for the moment so that crews can repair a feeder line.
UPDATE 12:51 AM: Xcel reports that 1,429 customers now have power again in Fritch. The reason for the outages there was due to a trampoline that was blown into a power line. Xcel reports power will remain turned off for all remaining customers still without power there until repairs are complete.
UPDATE 12:04 AM: Xcel confirms power has been restored to 800 customers in Borger.
Xcel Energy has confirmed that around 2,500 customers are currently without power in the Borger and Fritch areas. According to Xcel Energy's outage map on their web site, the town of Stratford is also experiencing power outages with currently 1,066 customers in the dark. According to Xcel's Media Relations Representative Wes Reeves, high winds from severe weather in the area are the likely cause for outages.
Crews are currently working to restore power to affected areas.
