WTAMU to update master plan at town hall meeting Tuesday evening
CANYON, Texas (KVII) —
Officials at West Texas A&M University will host a town hall meeting to update students, faculty, staff and community members on its latest master plan concept on Tuesday evening.
The town hall meeting will be in the Jack B. Kelley Student Center Legacy Hall at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 13.
A consulting team from Perkins+Will, an architecture and design firm from Austin, will present the update on the new master plan concept. Those attending will be able to ask questions and make comments regarding the concept.
WTAMU officials said the consulting team has been working with the university since Sept. 2017 to help develop a 10-year master plan that looks at campus growth and construction, with a focus on student life, facilities, mobility and parking, athletics and recreation, landscaping, campus resiliency, safety and sustainability.
The public is invited to attend. A shuttle service from the First United Bank Center to the Jack B. Kelley Student Center will be available for use.
