WT NSAC team earns two awards at AAF Tenth District competition

The West Texas A&M University National Student Advertising Competition team brought home two awards from the American Advertising Federation Tenth District competition on Sunday evening in Corpus Christi.

WT's NSAC team member Erin Westermann earned Top Presenter from the AAF. Westermann is a junior Public Relations/Advertising/Applied Communication major at WTAMU.

Buffalo Advertising, WTAMU’s NSAC team, won also won fourth place in AAF Tenth District, Competition 2 at the district’s annual conference. Buffalo Advertising, which is comprised of 12 WTAMU students, traveled to Corpus Christi to compete on Saturday.

As this year’s corporate sponsor, Ocean Spray challenged student teams to develop unique solutions to help the brand connect better with Millennials and expand its base across the United States. Each team created a written campaign proposal and 20-minute presentation and competed within their respective districts. The Tenth District NSAC competition includes universities from Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.
