Wounded Warrior project receives $3,050

What started out as a Saturday wrestling match at Tascosa High School soon turned into a ceremony to honor some wounded warriors.

Wayland Baptist University's Head Wrestling Coach Johnny Cobb presented representatives from the Wounded Warrior Project with a $3,050 check.

Cobb said the idea came from wanting to inspire the kids he works with to really appreciate the freedoms they have.

"There's these people, our soldiers that are out there making sacrifices for what we have every day, and it needs to start with our young people recognizing that so that was the main goal," Cobb said.
