All month long, the Breast Center For Excellence is teaming up with United Supermarkets to provide women with breast cancer screenings. The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at Amarilloâ??s Breast Center For Excellence is conducting breast cancer education and outreach events throughout the Texas Panhandle for the month of June. Women over the age of 40 without health insurance should be eligible for a no cost mammogram funded through a Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas grant. To be eligible for a mammogram, women must be Texas residents and provide proof of address, must be uninsured, have a valid photo ID and provide income verification or proof of assistance. The Breast Center For Excellence will be at the United Supermarket in Canyon Tuesday, June 18 from 4 to 6 p.m. and the United Supermarket on Washington Street in Amarillo Wednesday, June 19 from 4 to 6 p.m. For more information on the Breast Center for Excellence, visit www.ttuhsc.edu/bce
