Missing child taken by murder suspect found safe in Guadalupe County, suspect dead

The Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office says the suspect, 37-year-old Richard Concepcion, has died.

The missing child has been found safe in Guadalupe County. The suspect was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Amber Alert has been discontinued.

Authorities issued an Amber Alert for an 18-month-old child after his mother was shot and killed on the Northwest Sunday morning.
The shooting happened near the intersection of Arbor Bluff and Lost Bluff at about 8:30 a.m.
According to police, officers were called to the scene to assist in a child exchange. While officers were en route, a second call came out for shots fired. When they arrived, a woman was found dead in front of the home. The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Richard Concepcion, fled the scene in a white Toyota Tundra with two stickers on the back. One is an Alaskan sticker and the other is displaying a flag and the words "don't tread on me." The truck has a specialty "bronze star" license plate of GH58MH. If you've seen this truck, please call police immediately. Officers said he took the 18-month-old with him.
An Amber Alert has been issued for 18-month-old Aaron Concepcion.
